Our approach
MY NINE LOVES ("this service") is built on the principle of collecting as little personally identifiable information as possible. No account is required, and we never ask for your name, address, telephone number or email address.
Information we collect
| What | Purpose and handling |
|---|---|
| The nine works you choose | Used to compile rankings and to populate the Everyone's Nine listing. Only the title and the provider's ID are stored. |
| Title and name | Stored so they can be displayed on the card you created. We do not ask for your real name. |
| X account name (optional) | Used to group together the cards you have made. Entirely optional. |
| Age (optional) | Used only to compile rankings by age group. We convert it to a year of birth rather than storing an age, and we do not link it to any other information. |
| Language setting | Used to compile rankings by language. It may be inferred from your browser settings. |
| IP address | Not stored as-is. To prevent repeated posting and abuse, it is converted into an irreversible form (a hash) and held only temporarily. |
Images you upload
Images you add yourself are processed only inside the browser on your own device. They are never transmitted to or stored on this service's servers, and for that reason they do not appear on the share page either.
Analytics
This service may use Google Analytics to understand how it is being used. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect traffic data. That data is collected anonymously and does not identify individuals.
If you would prefer not to be included, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or disable cookies in your browser settings.
Advertising and affiliate programs
This service participates in affiliate programs including Rakuten Affiliate, Amazon Associates, A8.net and ValueCommerce. These programs may use cookies to optimise ad delivery.
If you purchase a product through one of these links, the operator may receive a referral fee. Product links are marked to indicate that they are advertising.
About Google AdSense
This service may use Google AdSense, a third-party advertising service. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this service and to other websites.
You may opt out of personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings. You can also visit www.aboutads.info to opt out of the cookies that third-party vendors use for personalised advertising.
Cookies do not collect information that identifies you personally. If you do not wish cookies to be used, you can disable them in your browser settings. If you visit from the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google's consent management tool may ask for your consent to the use of advertising cookies.
Communication with external services
To search for works and display images, this service's server queries the services listed below. Information is never sent to them directly from your browser.
- AniList (manga, anime, characters)
- TMDB (films)
- Apple Music / iTunes (music)
- Rakuten Books and Rakuten Kobo (books)
